Somboon Legacy Foundation

Elephants have always been a deep source of inspiration for us. Their independence, reliability, consistency and strength influence our daily actions. This makes it all the more heartbreaking to see so many of these majestic animals living in captivity and being exploited. Therefore, we are committed to protecting this endangered species and we have partnered with the Somboon Legacy Foundation, an organisation dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating elephants from a life of stress, suffering and exploitation.

Most of the elephants that come to Somboon have been rescued from tourist elephant camps, others are working elephants that have been forced to work in the fields, circus elephants or so-called begging elephants that beg for money with their owners in Thai cities. They are old, have health problems and need special care. Because of their past, they can no longer be released into the wild. At Somboon, they can spend their remaining years in dignity and in caring hands, being fully elephant, not exploited for money or entertainment.

We support the establishment and expansion of this facility with financial aid.
